Gold Coast United and Surf Lifesavers team up
SOCCER, SUNDAY 7 FEBRUARY 2010 AT SKILLED PARK
This Sunday's Gold Coast United match against the Wellington Phoenix could save lives. In a new partnership with Surf Life Saving Foundation, United will donate a dollar from every ticket sold to our hardworking Surf Lifesavers.
United captain Jason Culina believes the partnership is a great show of support for the many volunteers who make the Gold Coast beaches among the safest in the world.
"I've only been living on the Coast for a little while but already I can see how valuable Surf Life Saving is to our way of life," he said.
"Gold Coast United relies on the support of the community at each home game, it's fantastic for us to be able to give something back to an organisation that's given so much to all of us."

Guardian of the Surf Patron
|
Now in its Tenth year, the Guardians of the Surf Program is going from strength to strength, with more than 16,000 members across Australia who provide generous, regular donations to support our volunteers on the beach.
Grant Hackett is the Patron of this program because, as a former surf lifesaver, he is an avid supporter of our movement.
