Major Gifts

The Surf Life Saving Foundation's Major Gifts Program offers individuals, organisations, families and trusts the opportunity to have a significant, lasting impact on our vision of making Australian beaches safe for all.

Here's what your Major Gift can do:

- help us purchase vital rescue gear and lifesaving equipment
- allow us to educate children, multicultural communities and tourists in surf safety
- enable us to train future volunteer surf lifesavers

The Major Gifts team is dedicated to working closely with interested donors giving $10,000 or more, to help them advance their philanthropic goals. We are happy to discuss funding options and ensure that major gifts are allocated according to our supporters' wishes.

Here's where your Major Gift can go:

1. Surf Rescue Fund Trust

The purpose of the Surf Life Saving Rescue Fund Trust is to provide a more assured and ongoing source of funding for vital programs and equipment. This endowment fund means a major gift from an individual or company is never diminished. It continues to produce income long after the initial contribution is made.

The advantage of an unrestricted gift to the Trust is that it provides the organisation with maximum flexibility to address the needs of Surf Lifesaving.

2. Surf Life Saving Programs- State and National

The Surf Life Saving Foundation has identified a range of current and future projects which would benefit enormously from funding by way of a Major Gift.

You may direct your gift to any specific area, project or program that is meaningful to you, such as Lifesaver Education and Training, Community Beach Safety programs or Rescue Gear and Equipment.

Recognising Your Gift

In addition to sending you progress reports on our work, we'd be pleased to recognise your generosity in a variety of ways, and to discuss options with you. These could include

• Invitations to meet volunteer surf lifesavers and others benefiting from your gift
• Invitations to our events throughout the year
• Acknowledging your gift on our website, in our Annual Report or other publications we produce

Gifts are fully tax deductible and may be pledged over several years.
