For the past four years Telstra has supported the development of surf lifesaving in Australia. Major achievements over this time include surf lifesavers having travelled 97,436 kms to reach 79,981 students in 635 schools with surf safety messages as part of the Telstra Beach to Bush program. Through the Telstra Surf Life Saving Assistance Fund, 160 needy surf clubs have shared $500,000 worth of equipment grants.
