11,500 Rescues

41,000 First Aid treatments

460,000 actions to prevent danger

more than 530,000 lives saved in the past 100 years

This is the impact surf lifesavers had on Australia’s beaches last season. Brave men and women willing to risk their own lives to save someone they’ve never met. Staggering numbers for a volunteer organisation, but unsustainable without constant and ever-increasing private funding.

Through the generosity of the community and corporate supporters, the Surf Life Saving Foundation provides funding to Surf Life Saving Clubs around Australia to purchase vital rescue equipment, train and develop future lifesavers and deliver education programs.

Please lend your support to help us ensure that our beaches remain the safest in the world and that the proud Aussie tradition of Surf Life Saving can continue.
